My 4gr-grandmother was Babsy Reid, born in Virginia in 1785. On 28 Aug. 1800 she was in Greene Co. GA and married Robert Adair (B. 1772, SC). They very quickly moved to Franklin Co. TN where it seems Babsy died in 1835. I cannot find a record of where she is buried. I descend from one of her sons, Sebron (Sebrem) Scott Adair.
I would like to find out who her parents were. One researcher suggested her father was Templeton Reid since one of her children had a middle name of Templeton.
I also suspect that Babsy was a nickname for Betsy or even Elizabeth. Any help will be appreciated.
