My maternal grandparents James M Reed and Elsie Violet Houston married in Franklin County and moved to the Baird/Cottonwood Tx area in the mid 1890,s. He was a lawmen and became the jailer in Baird, TX. His sister, Effie Reed, came at or about the same time. My grandmother's parents, Bob and Elenor Houston came from Alabama but my grandmother was born in Franklin Co. I have reason to believe that members of both families moved to the same area in Texas at about the same time. Any information about either family would be appreciated, Thanks, James R Bridges
