I am searching for information re family of Joseph E. Matthews born in Virginia 31 Dec., 1809 died Madison County, Tennessee 2 July, 1877. He married Nancy Hicks McCaslin at Gibson County, Tennessee on 19 May, 1835.

Nancy Hicks McCaslin was born 7 July, 1826 in Davidson County died 22 Nov., 1911 in Madison County,Tn. Migrated from Davidson County, Tn to Gibson County, Tn with her father William McCaslin who was originally from Granville, N.C.
