Was interested in your query as the wife of the Alfred E. Davidson you listed I believe to be the sister of my great grandfather George White Moore. The wife's name, though, is Mary, not May. This Moore family is a large one and the children pretty scattered so it has been difficult to track them all. I do have a little information on Alfred and Mary if you are interested. I have found Mary (without Alfred)in the 1870 census where she is listed as being 44 with apparently her children, William, 23, James 21 and Jane 15. This would indicate this William might have been a little young to be in the Civil War (not impossible though) and that he was still living in Gibson County, not Weakley, in 1870 unless he moved between the time the two censuses were taken.
