I am looking for decendants of the McLemore's. I have been told that my gg-grandfather was born in Savannah, TN, and I have found data that states Madison Co., TN and, or Gibson Co., TN. I am searching for information about the McLemores'/Mc Lemores' on my fathers side possibly orginating in West and Midddle Tennessee. My Great Grandfather's name is Charlie McLemore/Mc Lemore born in District 8, Madison, Tennessee? Or Savannah, TN Hardin Co? His mother's name is Eliza McLemore/Mc Lemore (1845) married to George McLemore/Mc Lemore (1851) to there union they had Lee (1870), Atlass (1871), CHARLIE (1873)GG-GRANDFATHER, Alline (1875), Lela (1876), John (1878) Mernava (1880) along with six other children I don't have names for, and one step-child by mother's side Robert Mclemore/Mc Lemore (1867).CHARLIE McLemore/Mc Lemore was born around December 19 1867-1873?. But, I have seen records that indcate his birth year differently. He married MARY EIZABETH WALKER cannot locate marriage information , during that time they had FIFTEEN CHILDREN. Some the the childrens' names I can remember BOYS: GARLAND, BEN Sr., GEORGE, IVERSON, JAMES Sr., AND GIRLS: FLORA VIRGINA (Bonds) McLemore, CHARLIE MAE (Powell) McLemore, LAUDERBELLE/LOLARBELLE, my Grandmother. He and his wife moved to Millington, TN in a community called WOODSTOCK outside of MEMPHIS, TN at the age of thirty-five. After the death of his first wife he married LILLIE MAE COOPER (1902) they didn't have any children. "PAPA" is what we called him. He died April 1969 at 102 years of age.
