Hi, I'm hoping someone will look up this 1980 obituary for me. SSDI lists "Cora's" death date as Feb 1980, residing Trenton, Gibson, TN. I'm assuming this is he, since the birth date is exact and there are no other matches in the SSDI. Burial info would be nice too, but I'm really trying to find out his father's full name.
Background info on Richard Cova Dawson:
Born 8 June 1894, Pope Co., Ark., to W.H. Dawson and Estella EADS. They married 3 Sept. 1893 Pope Co., Ark. and W.H. died (or disappeared?) before Dec 1896. Estella had a son named Allen RIGGS born September 1897 (no marriage info found), then married Stephen A. ASHMORE 14 March 1900 in Pope Co., Ark and had 7 ASHMORE children.
Richard married miss Lydia Myrtle McNUTT, 20 Sept. 1913 in Conway Co., Ark. - I can't find them in the 1920 census, but in 1930 they were in Little Rock, Pulaski Co., Ark. with children Merlin (15) and Katherine (3).
In 1942, Richard registered for the WWII draft and gave his wife's address as Pensacola, Florida, while he himself still lived in Little Rock, Ark. Myrtle died in Pensacola 16 Feb 1982. Don't know what became of their children.
