The Walnut Grove in Gibson Co. is located east side of the Rutherford Fork of the Obion river between Rutherford and Kenton. This was only a community around the Walnut Grove Baptist Church. Frontiersman David Crockett lived in this area before going to Texas. There were still part of the Crockett family living there in the late 1800's.
