On the 1850 Gibson County Tn census, John Fox is living next door to A J Fox, John is 20 years old and he has married Alsey M. Beck that year. I have never been able to find them in 1860, In 1870 Alsey is in Independence Co Ark and she has Franklin, James and Alsey M (My gr-grandmother). In 1880 Alsey M and children are in Ozark County Mo. I have never been able to find mother and brothers after that. John O. Served in Civil war from Indepence Co. I found a small article in the Batesville museum listing his service but can not find any other records. I just returned from Gibson Co with no luck. I did find that the old Fox cemetery is under a highway.

Did John die in the war? Who were his parents? William T. was the bondsman on his marriage record. A J is too young to be his father.

Any help will be appreciated

Wilma
