Patricia, I did a little poking around in censuses, and this is a toughie. If you assume, as can often be the case, that the Dec. 1869 birth month/year isn't quite accurate, here's a possibility... This Martha A Jinkins and Isaac N. Workman were married in Dec of 1866 in Lincoln Co., TN next door to Giles County: Tennessee State Marriages, 1780-2002 Martha A Jinkins Isaac N Workman 18 Dec 1866 Lincoln Co. In 1870, the couple was living in Texas, but didn't yet have any children: 1870 United States Federal Census > Texas > Lamar > Beat 2 Isaac N. Workman 23 GA Martha A. 21 TN This couple is nowhere to be found in either the 1880 or 1900 census. You can imagine a scenario where if something happened to Isaac, Martha would have returned to Tennessee. I could not find any other Martha Workman in the 1870 census that fits yours, and also no sign of a Lou Ella, Luella, Ella, Lou Ellen, etc.. Workman that fits. It's just a possibility.
