A very Long Shot

It seems that there were some families that lived near the TN/AL state line that were missed in the 1880 census. The families of Hamilton F. Arthur and those of William P. Boshers to name a couple. They were believed to have lived hard by the Minor Hill, Giles CO., TN. and the Lester or Salem. Limestone CO. AL. Line. My question; Does anyone know of a page or two of records that did not make it to the 1880 U.S. Census and may be in some library, archive, or court house of the above areas?
Thank You, any help appreciated,
Carl
