Seeking information on W.F. Scott who married Ann Scott born 1837, married possibly in Wayne, Lincoln or Giles County TN about 1855. Based on their daughter’s (Elizabeth Jane/Hepsy) death certificate they were not related. Ann was the daughter of Wilson Scott and Althony Harris. It is not known what the W.F. stands for and no birth year is known, he is listed by his initials in the family Bible but no dates. In 1860 Ann and two children, Edward and Elizabeth/Hepsey are listed with her mother in Giles County TN census. Her husband is not included in the family record on the census. In 1870 I have not been able to find any record of the family in the census. Based on the family Bible the children born before 1870 were Edward F, Elizabeth/Hepsey, Franklin N and Ann. W.F was definitely living in 1870 since they had another child, Irvin (possibly James Irvin) born 1873. In 1880 Ann is living with her son Frank in Giles County TN. However Irvin who would have been age 7 is not living with her and I cannot find him anywhere on the 1880 census. In 1900 Irvin and his mother are listed in Bowie County TX, however she is listed as Margaret A, widow.
