I am always happy to share info.Below is the info I have on Mary Jane Scott. Would appreciate any additions or correction on her. What Scott's did you find buried in Lincoln County? Althony and most of her children moved to Giles and Lawrence County and are probably buried there. Those in Lincoln County could be Wilson's family.


Mary Jane Scott born about 1841 married John E Hardiman. They are in the 1860 Lawrence County TN census. Descendents report they were married 12 Feb 1860 in Lawrence County. In 1870 they are living in Lawrence County. Listed next to each other in the census are Benjamin Scott, John and Mary J (Scott) Hardiman/Hardeman. By 1880 Mary had died and John is listed in Lawrence County TN as “Hardyman” with a new wife and stepchildren. Lawrence County TN marriage records show he married Sarah A Springer 14 Feb 1878.
