Hello Karen

My Davis family was also in Grainger County, Bean Station
area early 1800's. My 3rd great grandfather Samuel Davis
born about 1826 married Alsie Long daughter of Hardy Long and Rachel Cash.
Samuel and Alsie's 2 oldest sons Sterling P and John Davis
married there 1st cousins Sarah and Rachel Long duaghters of Abel Long and Patsey Phillips.
Samuel and Alsie lived for a time in Hawkins County and spent there last years in Knoxville.
There sons Sterling and John with there wives and in laws moved to Garrard County Ky. The rest of Samuel and Alsie's children
seem to of stayed in the Grainger, Knoxx county areas.
