Susannah Purkey married William Davis 1829 Grainger Co. She was my ggg grandfather, Jacob Purkey's daughter. Jacob had a daughter, Celia Purkey born c 1825 and had a daughter
with Sterling Davis ca. 1844. Could this be your Sterling?
They lived Gr. Co south of Holston River. William and Susan had son Thomas Davis who wed Julia Holt in Gr.
