I am searching for any information regarding Charles (Charley) L. Wade, b 9/1857, d 12/15/1920, m1 Susan J. Janes, m2 1914 Effie Etta Greenlee. These people were my husband's grandparents who passed prior to his birth. We have learned information regarding to Effie, daughter of James Noah Greenlee, but can only find a Charles L. Greenlee in the Census Records from 1880 - 1920. Charley's father is possibly William L. with siblings, George A., Daniel P., Lou V., and Malenda. Any information will be helpful. We are coming to Grainger and Knox Counties next month and would like any tips on doing research in Grainger and Knox Counties. If anyone in the area knows Wades and Greenlees who have been in the Knox County (around Mascot) or Grainger County (Rutledge), please respond to this posting.
