Valentine Sevier and John Sevier were witnesses to a deed from the administrators for John Tool, deceased, to James Roberts. Greene County deeds, vol. 10, p. 123-124. This pertained to 290 acres of land initially sold by Tool to James Roberts in 1784. He and his wife Susanna nee Van Eman had come from Yohogania County, Virginia (now Washington County, PA)at about that time and later, circa 1815, moved to Clark County, IN. I don't know if he's related to your John Roberts but it's possible. Two of James and Susanna's children, Agnes Nancy and Hannah, were married into the Rodgers family in Greene County in the 1790s, the could be siblings to your John. The land was on Mill Creek.
