Emsley H. Smith and wife Nancy J. Sims are enumerated in the 1880 census for District 3, Grundy Co., TN. with seven children.
You probably already have more information from the censuses than I have. Perhaps you will share with me?
I do show that Nancy J. Sims was born 11 Sept. 1831 in Warren Co., TN., but don't have when or where she died and is buried.
Her parents were Clayborn Sims (c.1795 in Lee Co., VA. and died abt. 1830's in Warren Co., TN.)
His wife, Dorcas Tabitha (Shipley) Lebo Sims, was 1st married to a Henry or Moses Lebo and had a daughter Olivia Lebo.
Clayborn Sims was obviousle named for his Uncle, Clayborn Sims, my GGGG Grandfather.
