I have been researching a Kent family that I believe is in my family tree. If I am correct Grover C Kent [Sr] who is in the Elizabethton Carter Co Census 1930, b. 1888, is the son of my ancestor William M Kent who died in Mosheim, TN. William, who was born in NC, traveled to: Tennessee, Missouri and Kansas after the civil war and one of his sons born in MO was Grover C Kent. William returned to TN between 1915 and 1920. I believe the info on the 1930 Carter Co Census regarding Grover C Kent's birth, and his parents birth, being in Georgia is incorrect.
Grover C Kent Jr. b. 1922 m. Lola Maud Richards. She had a sister named Helen Bailey of Morristown. Their children were: Grover Michael Kent, and Patricia Kent Leonard. Grover C Jr died in Morristown, Hamblen Co TN in 1966.
I would appreciate hearing from any one who has information on this family
