Page 283 - 284 AN ACT for the benefit of the heirs of Jacob L. Sigler. 1. Permission to remove estate to Tennessee; consequent powers and duties. 2. Duties of Samuel W. Sigler, on certain contingencies. 3. Certain powers granted to Sigler. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows: Whereas, it appears that Elizabeth A. Sigler, George W. Sigler, and Jacob L. Sigler, infants Samuel W. Sigler, Philip N. Sigler, Rachel Evett, late Rachael Sigler, and Mary Frances McCombs, late Mary F. Sigler, are the heirs at law of Jacob L. Sigler, late of Greene county in the State of Missouri, and are all residing in the State of Tennessee, and desire that the estate of the said Jacob L. Sigler, deceased, may be removed to said State of Tennessee: And whereas, it also appears that the said Samuel W. Sigler was, by the order of the county court of Hamilton county in said State of Tennessee, on the fifth day of January last, appointed guardian of the said Elizabeth A. George W. and Jacob L. Sigler, the aforesaid infants, and by deed, of date first day of December A. D. eighteen hundred and forty-five, made the attorney of the said Rachael Evett and her husband Nehemiah Evett, and of Mary Frances McCombs, and her husband John M. McCombs, and of the said Philip N. Sigler, and that one John P. Campbell is, by the appointment of the county court of Greene county in said State of Missouri, guardian or curator of the said estate of the said heirs of Jacob L. Sigler, deceased. The county court of said county of Greene is hereby authorized and required, to order and direct the said John P. Campbell, to pay over and deliver, to the said Samuel W/ Sigler, all of the estate in his hands, belonging to the said Elizabeth A. George W. Jacob L. Philip N and Samuel W. Sigler, and Rachael Evett, and Mary F. McCombs; and upon such payment and delivery by said Campbell, the said court shall make final settlement with said Campbell, and shall discharge him from all further liability or duty, as such guardian or curator. 2. The said Samuel W. Sigler, upon such payment and delivery by said Campbell, shall file in the office of the clerk of the county court of said county of Greene, as vouchers of said settlement a certified copy of the order of said Hamilton county court, appointing said Samuel W. Sigler, guardian of said infants and the deed appointing said Samuel W. Sigler attorney for said Philip N. Sigler, and said Rachael Evett and her husband Nehemiah Evett, and Mary Francis McCombs and her husband John M. McCombs and shall execute to said Campbell receipts for the money or property so paid over or delivered; and the same shall be valid to discharge said Campbell from all liability as such guardian or curatir, for the money or property so paid over or delivered. 3. The said Samuel W. Sigler, is hereby authorized to remove said money or property from this State to the State of Tennessee. This act to take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
