Thank you for your message. Although we think this is not the correct person, I would very much like to have a copy of the obituary of J. C. LASATER. I will contact you via separate e-mail.

Harold Milburn Lasater is the father of my nephew, whom I am helping unravel his family history. The James C. Lasater mentioned in my original post is my nephew's grandfather. The mystery is why we cannot locate anything on James C. Lasater following 1914, the year his son (Harold Milburn Lasater) was born. Family stories are that he "just left one day and nobody heard from him afterwards." However, the 1920 census for his wife, Cecil Grace Lasater, states that she is a widow.

Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
