I am researching the Martin family of Lee county Va, Hancock county,TN and Claiborne county TN. I have found a William Martin who married Rachel Marcum who lived in Hancock county TN in the 1870/80 census in the Alanthus Hill district. They had the following children: Robert, James, Mary A., Margaret, and Perlina. I believe that William is the twin brother to my great great grandfather John Martin. I would appreciate any info about William or John. John married Hannah Smith of Virginia, possibly in Hancock County before 1857. John and Hannah raised their family in Claiborne county. John and William are the sons of Anson C. Martin and Margaret Herrell.
