I have been doing a great deal of research on the Parrott lines in order to find the builder of my house. It lies north of the Powell River in Lee County VA. I have traced it back to John L. Parrott. In a deed he buys it from his brother Caleb H. Parrott. The deed refers to the proerty as being the same land devised to there mother(Martha Bales) by Caleb Bales there grandfather. I am deprately searching for a picture of the home or even a story about the it. It is a Log 2 story house with a 2 story poarch and a large stone chimny on the left side. Large stone walks lead from the road to the front of the house. any info no matter how small could make all the diffrence. Caleb died abt 1861
