Hi Elizabeth, I'm sorry for not seeing your reply to my post until today. Thank you for the cemetery information, but the one you mentioned is not the Sarah Herd(Hurd)grave I am looking for. We visited the Herd Wallen's Bend cemetery in Hancock county, TN in August,2006 and did not find the Sarah (Rice) Herd grave marker we were looking for. There are many unmarked graves and I am convinced that my ggrandmother is buried in that cemetery. My gggrandfather, Carter Herd, is buried there and probably all of the Herds there are relatives.
