Michael I have a few Helton/Hilton ancestors in my tree and would be happy to find any new information or share what I have on them with others that are also researching. I have an Elizabeth Helton/Hilton who married Clemmy Joseph and was born in Wise VA about 1810. Their daughter Cassie Joseph born in 1824 married Ira Wells. Elizabeth died in Leslie county Kentucky. I also have an Elvira Helton who married Nathaniel Lewis, but I do not know much about her other than she is possibly from Ireland.My ancestors directly from Hancock county Tennessee are of the surnames Hurley, Wright, Metcalf/Metcalfe, and Purkey/Perky.
