Thank you, Barbara. I now have Charles E. Anderson's death certificate (6 Mar, 1973) from Charleston, Tallahatchie Co., MS. Gives his place of birth as Hardeman Coutny TN, and his father as Miles Edward Anderson, and his mother as Elizabeth Hannah Statler. Miles' wife, as "Bettie" Anderson applied for a pension based upon her husband's (Confederate) Civil War service. I post it here in case it is of help to anyone else. Thanks again....Bruce.
