I am trying to find a marriage that occurred in Tennessee sometime in the mid 1830s, between a John Johnson and an Edy(?). He was supposedly born in Hardeman County and she was mistakenly listed as being born in Maury County. She was actually born in South Carolina. They had two known children, Richard Johnson, b.1836 ?,?,TN. and William Sanford Johnson, b.23 Nov. 1834, ?,?, TN. I am trying to find Edy's true last name. Her listed surname was Rose, but that was her adoptive name from the union of her mother, Beady, to Wiliam Rose of Maury County. I don't know where the Johnson/Rose marriage took place, but I feel it was in Hardeman County. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Clem Rose.
