To flesh out the maternal side --

Hazel Faye HERRIMAN's mother was Hilda Clara BAKER, the daughter of Mead Jackson BAKER (1868-1961 -- my first cousin, twice removed) and Minnie Bell KIDD (1876-1946 --my great aunt).

Mead's parents were Abraham BAKER (1834-1906) and Chellie Crawford BAKER (1840-1905). Abraham's parents George and Elizabeth Tennison BAKER settled in Hardeman County in the 1840's. Chellie's parents John Cogdell and Elizabeth Jernigan CRAWFORD settled in Hardeman County in the 1830's.

Minnie Bell KIDD was the daughter of Charles Leslie KIDD (1855-1900) and Rebecca Donaldson Kidd (1847-1920). Charles was born in Virginia and settled in Hardeman County in the 1870's with his mother Ann George Kidd Sandy and his stepfather William H SANDY. Rebecca Donaldson was the daughter of Caswell H DONALDSON (1821-1896) and Hannah Bell MAXWELL(1821-1879). Caswell's parents Buckley DONALDSON (1784-1842) and Dido ARMSTRONG (1789-after 1860) settled in Hardeman County in the 1830's.
