I am in the process of joining the DAR through Lieut. David Rogers of Henry Co., Va., father of George Rogers of Hawkins County, Tn.. The only thing I seem to be lacking is a marriage license for Robert Rogers born 1801, son of George and Catherine Starnes daughter of John Starnes. They were married c. 1824 because their first born, Mariah was born in 1825. They lived in the Lee Valley area.
Over the past 20 years I have been to Hawkins Co. courthouse but did not to come up with their license.
Is there anyone in the Hawkins Co. area who could look up this marriage license for me? I would be willing to pay for time and effort. Thanks
