Researching ancestors and desendants of Elizabeth BROTHERTON, born about 1822 and died 17 May 1869 in Hawkins County, TN.

Elizabeth BROTHERTON married Patrick DOUD on 21 Sep 1843 in Greene Co., TN. Patrick DOUD was also born abt 1822 in Monaghan, Ireland. He was killed in the Civil War near his farm on 28 Dec 1863 in Bulls Gap, Hawkins Co., TN.

Elizabeth & Patrick had 7 children: Ellen May; James; Edward; Peter; Rhody Catherine; Mary A.; and Patrick Jr. Rhody Catherine and Patrick Jr. died as infants.
