I am trying to locate the grave of my great grandmother Martha Jane West Smith who died in the Webster Valley area. I have been told that she died Dec 9, 1912 but have not found any death certificate with this information.
Can anyone tell me where the Smith Chapel is or was on Smith Road in Hawkins County? I understand that there are a few graves there. Does anyone have any knowledge of who might be buried there?
The Smith Chapel Cemetery was not logged in the 4 cemetery volumes of Hawkins County.
If anyone has any information on these relatives I would really like to talk with you.
My ggrandmother was Martha Jane West, Daughter of Abraham and Sarah Booker West. My ggrandfather was John Leander Smith son of George Washington Smith Sr and Mary Ann White.
