Answering my own query, sorry that I ever went to Rogersville, Tennessee. We were not treated nice and the genealogy department was as if something trivial, but what made it a waste of time was how we were treated. I have been to librairies that request that you leave your bags and briefcases behind the desk but they wanted my wife's small purse too. It wasn't large enough to roll up a comic book and get it inside. But what caught our eye, other women in the library had purses with them, some were huge and no one asked for their handbag. No one was helpful and I got the feeling that I was welcome. We drove 1,678 miles round trip and never in my life was I treated like this by anyone. We went to Greeneville and they made up for the mistreatment, very kind people and very helpful.
