I am looking for a Sarah B. Prim that states in her Civil War widow pension file that she was married 15 Jun 1848 in Haywood, TN to Hugh Snelling. Cemetery record for Sarah B. Prim list her as born 02 apr 1821 (TN) & died 27 Jul 1899, Miller Co, MO. This Hugh Snelling md Winney (Winnefred) Perry 07 feb 1822 in Hamilton Co, ILL. Hugh Snelling is in Miller Co, Missouri by the 1836. Hugh & Sarah Snelling are on the 1850 MO, Miller County census. The children of this second marriage to Sarah B. Primm are listed as born in MO. Sarah B. names her only Snelling son Charles Brody Snelling. The "B" many have stood for Brody????? In my research I have not found a "Brody" in this Snelling line before and think it may have come from Sarah's family line. Since Sarah B. Primm would have been about 27yrs old at the time of her marriage to Snelling......could Sarah have been married before to a Primm and Brodie/Brody was really her maiden name????? Anyone know about a Sarah Brodie/Brody Primm? Thanks, Marsha Notify Administrator about this message?
