Here is another possibility. John Foster, b. about 1753 in Amelia Co., d. about 1837 (no place given). Son of George Foster and Susannah Pollard. No wife or children listed. This looks like your man.

This is a line that I'm VERY interested in. I'm related to his younger brother Joel, who married Edith Amos in Amelia Co. in 1788.

Do you have a spouse or any children for this John Foster?
