I am trying to verify that Mary Hurt, daughter of Garland and Betsy Tucker Hurt, born about 1815 in Bedford County, VA is the same person as my gg grandmother, Mary Jane Hurt who married Benjamin Turbeville in Henry County, TN. She died in 1851 and is buried at Ralls cemetery in Henry County, TN. The Garland Hurt family is related to the John Mann Hurt family who came to Henry County about 1835. I am surmising that Mary came to Henry County with her cousins. If anyone has information that can help, I will appreciate hearing from you.
