looking for marriage date and any other information for:
John Burton ca 1813 maybe SC, and Martha Jane Hodge ca 1818 in SC, KY or TN. They are on the 1860 Henry Co. Census, with sons Lorenzo (Jefferson) Burton age 19 (ca 1841) and Alexander (W.) Burton age 14 (ca 1846). Next door: L.D. Bush and Prudence Bush (Bomar, Burton)and maybe Prudence's grandchildren Charles Burton and Martha J. Burton. I believe Prudence was married to Charles. I'd also like to find out who John's father was. Also who were Martha Jane Hodge's parents, siblings, etc. My daughter is descendant of John Burton and Lorenzo Jefferson Burton. Lorenzo was a physician, served in the Civil War, then married Henrietta Pulliam and moved to Lake City Florida.
