I am stuck and could would appreciate some help.
My Great-Great-Grandparents are Daniel P. Alexander (born abt. 1825 & died before 1880) and Mary Ann (Powell) Alexander (born about 1832 and died after 1880). They were married April 1, 1847, in Henry County TN, by B. Hinchey, Justice of the Peace.
According to the 1880 Census, Mary Ann was living with her daughter & son-in-law (Nancy E. & David B. Emerson). Other than the Henry County marriage record and the Census of 1850 (Henry County TN), I cannot find any indication of thier parents or where the parents were from. The 1850 Census indicates Daniel, Mary Ann, Susan E. (2 yrs), and Nancy E. (7 months) were all born in TN.
Any help would be appreciated.
