I happened to look at the loose papers on this estate yesterday, because I was working on some House family members from another county and ran across this one. It mentions a will which I did not see, but the document I copied starts as follows: Your petitioners Amos Milliken & William Duke, Executors of the last will & testament of John House deceased & Elizabeth House, his widow, & Burton L. Stovall & wife, Sarah, William Duke & wife, Elizabeth, Benj. F. Carr & wife, Mary Jane, & William T, Malvina, Amanda & John House, the children & only heirs of the said John House, the last four whom are minors a petition by their mother & testamentary guardian....
That basically is all I have a copy of, it was a petition to sell a slave from the estate. The document was dated 25 Sep 1849.
