I just added a data base to Rootsweb ... http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=peasoup&id=I19 This shows Sarah Coley of Henry County as the second wife of William J. Hayes of Dickson County ... I cannot offer the ever elusive "smoking gun" as lock-it-down evidence. I can only offer a family tradition that she was "Sarah Cooley" and a Dickson County marrriage record for W.J. Hayes and Sarah Curtis (29 Dec 1861) and additional family tradition that both were married two times. Sarah Coley married Wm Curtis in Henry County, TN (16 Dec 1858) ... I highly suspect she came to Dickson County from Henry County because of the SPEIGHT family if she was a widow or divorced. I have spent a lot of time thinking this through and eliminated all other possibilities ... I was told by a COLEY descendant that twins ran in the Coley family as well as it was believed James M. Coley's middle name was Matthew. Sarah's Mother was Nancy Phillips ... Sarah Coley Hayes' first two children were twins - James Matthew Hayes and Nancy Laura Hayes born 1862 ...
