DANIEL DAVIDSON - ( b. between 1770-1780 arrived in Hickman Co. TN by about 1825 and is on 1830 Hickman Co. TN Census and these are additional files on him - we learned that after this Daniel Davidson had died PETER R. LOVELESS and his wife with maiden name of MURRAY lived on Daniel Davidson's land. The MURRAY family also connected to an ALEXANDER DAVIDSON, I believe of VA. :

" Robert and Thomas Dolison and Daniel Davidson came here from North Carolina in 1825. In 1830 John Hinson lived where Joel P. Morrison now lives, but these lands were entered in 1825 by Robert Thompson. At the mouth of Brushy Fork, in 1830, Daniel Davidson taught school, and his patrons were the Dolisons, Hinson, Garrett, the Walkers, John Angel, and Joseph Kimmins."

also spelled as DONALDSON and DONALSON is shown in Hickman Co. TN deeds as :
The only Dolison sounding name in early Hickman Co. TN deeds are for a BARNET DONALSON who may be also listed as BARNY DONALSON in both 1816 - 1817 Hickman Co. TN deeds listings. These Donalson/ Donaldsons were out of ORANGE CO. NC to PERSON CO. NC to CASWELL CO. NC perhaps. It is known that a THOMAS and BARNET DOLLASON are on the 1820 Hickman Co. TN census. So spellings of this family may have been as DONALDSON/ DONALSON in NC but in TN became DOLISON or DOLLASON too. ( see the Donelson Deeds below in Hickman Co. TN deed listings ) :

GARRETT --
An earlier DANIEL GARRETT is listed in Hickman Co. TN Land Deeds in 1827, but he is unknown as to whether he would have been related to LEVI GARRETT or others of that surname in Hickman Co. TN. The GARRETTS connected to Daniel Davidsons line through the marriage of Temple Hicks Garrett ( s/o Levi C. Garrett ) and Henrietta "Rietta" Hinson. Henrietta "Rietta" Hinson is first cousin to Elijah Hinson the husband of Eveline Davidson who is granddaughter of Daniel Davidson who d. 1837 in Hickman Co. TN. We see later connections through the lines of Temple Hicks Garretts daughter PARASEDIA CLEMENTINE GARRETT to JOHN ANGEL born 1841 Hickman Co. TN who d. abt. 1901 in Marion Co. AR. This John Angel is the son of James Angel b. 1813 Hickman Co. TN and wife Elizabeth Ward of Hickman Co. TN. This JAMES ANGEL born abt. 1813 Hickman Co. TN is son of JOHN ANGEL b. 1786 Rutherford Co. NC and 2nd wife ELIZABETH HARRIS. James Angel b. 1813 Hickman Co. TN had arrived to Marion Co. AR about 1852 perhaps. So the GARRETT's, HINSONS, DAVIDSONS, and ANGELS have a long history together from at least Hickman Co. TN to Arkansas and who can say their possible connections back in NC if any ?

John Angel is said born in 1786 in Rutherford Co. NC and died in 1862 in Marion Co. AR ( part of Marion Co. was taken to create BOONE CO. AR in 1870 ). John Angel married Martha Harris it is said in Burke Co. NC in 1811 with their first son being born there in 1811 but by 1813 their 2nd son JAMES ANGEL was born in Hickman Co. TN.

"Robert, Berry, William, Elijah and Gilbert Hicks were all citizens of Upper Beaverdam in a very early day; some of them died here long ago, and some of them moved off - - but where they went to, we do not know. Mrs. Arnold, wife of Jonithan Arnold, is the only one of a once very large family that now remains in this county. John Thompson, of Shipp's head, and the young Harders, of Swan are descendants of the mother's side, from the Hicks family; they were generally very quiet and good citizens. "
ELIJAH HICKS b. abt. 1803 NC ( son of ROBERT V. HICKS and SARAH ANN JORDAN ) married KESSIAH KIMMONS b. 1801 TN. in about 1829 in TN. Elijah Hicks died in 1831 in McNairy Co. TN and his wife Kessiah died 1865 Fayette, Illinois per my Hicks files.
ELIJAH HICKS b. abt. 1803 NC had sister SARAH ANN HICKS b. abt. 1812 Montgomery Co. NC who married HARVEY LOVE DAVIDSON b. 1811 TN. Harvey Love Davidson is considered to be son of DANIEL DAVIDSON b. 1770-1780 who is an early Pioneer in Hickman Co. TN. Harvey Love and Sarah Ann Hicks married about 1830 and later moved to McNairy Co. TN. Harvey Love Davidson died Oct. 16, 1854 in McNairy Co. TN and his widow Sarah Ann Hicks remained in McNairy and sold their land but for the house and the lot it sat on. Listed is this deed below :

LAST WILL OF SARAH A. DAVIDSON.
I Sarah A. Davidson being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament.
( First ) - I desire that my funeral and burial expences be paid out of the first money that comes into the hands of my excutors of my estate.
( Secondly ) - Sat. all my debts if there should be any against me be paid next.
( Thirdly ) - That all my personal property and effects be sold and the money arising from the sale thereof be equally divided between all my legal heirs or their representatives, Share and Share alike.
( Fourthly ) - I give and bequeath my two Sons MARTIN V. DAVIDSON and JAMES M. DAVIDSON in and for the consideration of the care and support and maintainance of my self and my afflicted daugher DELILAH A. DAVIDSON during our natural lives. All my real estate consisting of two hundred acres of land conveyed to me by W. S. WISDOM on the 18th day of November 1862, and Registered in Book I pages 278 & 279 on the 2nd day of September 1865 lying in McNairy County, Range 2 & Section 5.
( Lastly ) - I constitute and appoint my two Sons MARTIN V. DAVIDSON & JAMES M. DAVIDSON my executors of this my last will and testament.

" Little George Hinson was a citizen of Beaverdam at an early day; he came from North Carolina to this country about the year 1829 or 1830; etc. ( article mentioned his children being following : " Elijah, Jordan, Larkin, Sam, and two daughters at least perhaps more -- one of whom married ENOCH BARBER and one TEMPLE GARRETT. " Father stopped in January, near a spring where Joel P Morrison and the widow of David Hinson now lives, though father soon purchased a little occupant claim from on David Lancaster, where Lewis Baker now lives, and he there remained until the fall of 1854, when he moved to the head of Coon creek, Perry county, where he remained until his death, where the remains of my father and mother are now interred. My mother was a daughter of old John Hinson, the father of old Uncle George Hinson, the father of the late David Hinson who fell by the hand of Mormonism in Lewis county; therefore you can readily see that the name of Tennessee is always near and produces tender emotions with me."

My own research in Court House in Lewis Co. TN resulted in a great many files for J. J. HINSON or JOHN J. HINSON, which I will transcribe below. John Jackson Hinson b abt. 1823 TN was identified by Linda Henson being the son of JOHN SHORTY HINSON the brother to George Punky Hinson, in her posting to me in 2005. More research is pending on the HINSON line in order to further clerify their descendancy and possible connections to my other FIELDS/ HINSONS and DAVIDSON/ HINSON lines. - Tina Rogers Beller, July 26, 2006.

Mrs. Manda Jones ( wife of Robert P. Jones ) is a dressmaker in her own home, and she was born in MO. Her father was born in GA and her mother was born in Indiana.
