Thanks Tina, for that post quoting John Poplin of Hickman Co as follows: "my mother was the daughter of old JOHN Hinson, the FATHER of Uncle GEORGE Hinson..." I had already decided his father was John, because his was the only county in NC that contained ALL the surnames associated with our Hinsons. This confirms it.

ggg,grand-daughter of George, thru Jordan>Eli>Ada>Grace>me. If anyone has photos of this line, I would dearly love to have copies and will be glad to pay for them. Since Jordan was a maker of furniture, I wonder if any descendant might have something he made. Just hoping..
