I am seeking information about j.m. shelby b.1845.d.1930. He is on the 1850 humphries county census in 1850 listed as monroe age 5yr. We believe his mother's name is Mary. He was in the 9th texas cavalry in 1861-1862.But he said that he served 4yrs. he lived in manchester texas in Red River county Tx.He married mary tuggle around 1863or1864. they had 4 children. Any information would be appreciated.
