Hi, what a coincidence--we just received a deed mentioning Wlm McIllwain. He bought property from John Johnson. The deed is by Nimrod F Lucas leaving his property to his nieces and nephews- children of John and Susan Johnson (in 1857) there is an exemption for property sold to Wlm McIllwain. Nimrod is also leaving property to Sterling ? it is very blury and hard to read. This must be a relative---and was wondering where the Sterling name came from or it you know of others. It doesn't look like Neblett or Martin. Any help would be appreciated. Peg
