I was looking in Jackson Co, TN for surname BRUCE and came across posted documents mentioning a John B. BRUCE & wife, Sallie BENNETT. These documents were in Jackson County, Tennessee I think about 1888 and one mentions Macon County, Tennessee.

On the Genforum BRUCE message board there are postings of a Mahuldia BRUCE b. 1815 TN m. John Wesley FURGERSON. It states they had 4th child Nancy Jane b. 1840 TN, 5th child John Wesley b. 1851 TN and their 6th child was born in Hopkins County, Kentucky.

Could this FURGERSON-BRUCE family possibly be related to your FURGERSON??? or the BENNETT-BRUCE couple???

I thought it interesting you have a FURGERSON-BENNETT couple and the John B. BRUCE & Sallie BENNETT in Jackson County, Tennessee and the Mahuldia BRUCE & John Wesley FURGERSON couple in Hopkins County, Kentucky.
