Hello everyone:
I need help getting past a brick wall!
The last known origen of my family was in Monroe co. Tn.
I've found through DNA testing that we came to America as McDonalds circa 1700 in Penn. the family moved to Jefferson co. Tn. via Virginia. The family member to move to Jefferson co, was Alexander McDonald, he died 1811, his son was Randolph, he passed in 1845, in Jefferson co.
his son Andrew Alexander was born in Jefferson co. in 1809, and passed in Alabama in 1877. Some one in this family, maybe a brother, grandson, or cousin. etc... changed there name to McDaniel and moved to Monroe co. Tn.where I found my ggggrandfather, Elijah McDaniel.
if anyone could help me make the connection it would be greatly appreciated.
