Descendants of Benjamin Ward (c1750-1820) of Ashe Co., NC

Recently two direct line male descendants of Benjamin Ward (c1750-1820) of Virginia and Ashe County, NC submitted their yDNA for yDNA-67 marker testing. The individuals tested were direct male descendants of Benjamin & Celia/Selah Stewart Ward's sons, Duke Ward and Daniel Ward.

The results have raised some questions as two of the alleles did not match in the first 37 markers. One would have expected them to do so or so I have been told.

I am seeking direct line male descendants of Benjamin Ward of Ashe County, NC who would be willing to participate in the Ward DNA Study to help us clear up the problems of the lines. The lab used for the test was FamilyTreeDNA.com. One can get a discounted price if one participates as part of a family study. The test required is a yDNA-67 marker test.

Six sons of Benjamin Ward had male children: Duke Ward, Daniel Ward, Benjamin Ward,James Ward, Jesse Ward, and Nicodemus Ward.

Please contact me directly if you have any questions or wish to be of assistance in this important piece of research. Thank you.
