Anyone researching Rev Wm B Peters (26 Jan 1849 - 2 Dec 1926) and Sarah Elizabeth J. Templeton (16 Feb 1851 - 26 July 1896) or Wm's 2nd wife Willie Dryden. They resided in DeKalb District of Scott County, VA until after Elizabeth's death and sometime after 1910 moved to Knoxville, Knox County, TN. The 1880 Scott County census had Wm (31), Elizabeth (29), James (9), Mary (7), Nancy (5), brother-in-law Scot (20) and servant Wesley Peters in the household. The 1900 census had Wm B )Jan 1849), wife Willie R. (Aug 1876, 23), daughter Fannie (Jan 1873, 27), Wiliam (Ape 1882, 18), Elizabeth (Sep 1885, 14), Pridemore (Aug 1888, 11), Rufus M. (Jan 1891, 9) amnd Roy P. (Apr 1899, 1). The 1910 census still had the family in Scott County, but now Estilleville, Willie having had 4 kids all still alive - Roy P.H. 11, Opal D. 8, Gladys M. 6, Mattie A. 4 and Willie's widowed mother Agnes Dryden, 66. By 1920 the family is in Knoxville. Sarah Elizabeth J was the daughter of Wm Farley & Frances "Fanny" (Lane) Templeton. I'm hunting for any surviving photos or correspondence of Sarah Elizabeth, her parents or siblings Dr James Elbert Templeton (my great-grandfather), Mary M. (Moudy), Robert, nancy catherine (Taylor)or Wm Scott.

Thanks - Jack K. Templeton
