'Where Granny lived'-- Colonial log house was the name of an original picture I would like to obtain. Could be something you might come across at a flea market or rummage sale. Picture was made by a photographer and was hand tinted. It was sold in local Knoxville TN stores in the late 1900's/early 1920's. It was the Flenniken/Franklin cabin said to have been built abt 1772 . Built on land that was once North Carolina, and later would become part of Tennessee. Most likely built by Samuel Flenniken (b 1746), as it was passed on to his daughter Elizabeth Flenniken Franklin ,& her husband Wm B Franklin , and in turn , passed on to their son Madison/Mathew Frankli & Chatherine Isabella Josephine Duncan Franklin. Located on Maryville Pike near Mt Olive. Burned in 1922, while owned by Catherine Franklin. Notify Administrator about this message?
