Am seeking information on the family of Humphrey Montgomery, who married Mary Walker, 1 Apr 1793, Knox County, Tennessee. Humphrey died before 1833, and Mary Walker Montogmery sold land in Lawrence County, AL, in 1833, listing herself as a widow. In this land transaction, William Tatom Stovall,and his wife Mary, were also mentioned, as were James Montgomery, Robert Montgomery, and Humphrey Montgomery, Jr., who I assume were sons.
Does anyone have a connection to this group from Tennessee to Lawrence County, Alabama?
