Lake County was formed in 1870 from Obion County. Marriages prior to this time will likely be found in the Obion County marriage books.

Sadly, there appear to be no surviving marriage books in Lake County prior to late 1883. I have spoken with the county clerk's office, and a wonderful woman there told me she has searched everywhere trying to find the old marriage books, to no avail.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but on the positive side, the Obion County marriages have survived pretty well over the years.
