Now, ELIJAH HINSON b. abt. 1815 is son of GEORGE {PUNKY ) Hinson, and ELIJAH HINSON married EVELINE DAVIDSON the daughter of SARAH DAVIDSON and UNKNOWN of Hickman Co. TN. Sarah Davidson of Hickman Co. TN is my GGG Grandmother. Eveline Davidson and Elijah Hinson had following children and some of this data is from their own descendants. I am not sure who the father of GEORGE PUNKY HINSON may be as I believe it has not yet been verified, if I recall. My own line of HINSONS are out of BENJAMIN HINSON and wife MOURNING ( MOORMAN ? ) of Anson Co. NC, and we don't know yet if they connect to the same HINSON line as do GEORGE PUNKY HINSON and his brother GEORGE PUNKY HINSON. Our Hinson line married into the FIELDS and moved to Carroll and Henry Co's TN, and so the other HINSONS ( George and John Shorty ) had gone to that HICKMAN CO. TN area and could be a branch of same major HANSON / HENSON / HINSON lines of VA, SC, NC, but isn't established yet, I don't believe.
THE SON of ELIJAH HINSON named JOHN HARRISON HINSON married a ( 1 ) NAN per my data below and my mom had another spouse ( 2 ) IDA listed as wife of this JOHN HARRISON HINSON who is son of ELIJAH HINSON b. abt. 1815 and Eveline Davidson.
IF JOHN DAVIDSON who md. LUCKY TALLY or WINEAPPLE is the same as JOHN SHORTY HINSON then he would be a brother of GEORGE PUNKY HINSON the father of ELIJAH HINSON b. 1815, per my records.

IRA S. DAVIDSON and family lived in Lewis Co. TN in 1850. This same 1850 LEWIS CO. TN Census listed ELIJAH and EVELINE HINSON shown below. Ira S. Davidson was the brother of SARAH DAVIDSON b. 1801 NC and Ira was the uncle of EVELINE DAVIDSON HINSON ( d/o Sarah Davidson b. 1801 NC ). Elijah Hinson married Eveline Davidson, per Cathy Gallen sometime between 1836 - 1840 when they are found living in McNairy Co. TN & are on the 1840 McNairy Co. TN Census. McNairy is also where Eveline's other uncle HARVEY LOVE DAVIDSON then lived. Harvey Love Davidson died in 1854 and by the 1850 LEWIS CO. TN census we find ElIJAH HINSON and wife EVELINE DAVIDSON HINSON on 1850 LEWIS Co. TN Census. We believe that IRA S. DAVIDSON then moved from LEWIS CO. TN to McNairy Co. TN sometime after he was on the 1850 Lewis Co. TN Census and before the 1860 McNairy Co. TN . HARVEY LOVE DAVIDSON died in McNairy Co., in 1854. Harvey Love Davidson left widow, SARAH ANN HICKS DAVIDSON who then went by SARAH A. DAVIDSON in McNairy Co. TN Court records.

Since 1840 didn't list anyones name but for the head of houshold, then we presume this is correct for Elijah Hinson, Eveline Davidson and their first born son.
GABRIEL DAVIDSON b. 1830 whom some have listed as Sarah's son, is found on the estate Chancery records of JAMES POTTS and CELIA POTTS as their grandchild. NANCY DAVIDSON is listed as daughter of James and Celia Potts on these same guardianship records and I have to believe she is same person as NANCY POTTS who has marriage record with JOHN DAVIDSON in Williamson Co. TN on Oct. 4th, 1817. It now appears from these guardianship records that GABRIEL DAVIDSON b. 1830 TN is son of JOHN DAVIDSON and NANCY POTTS of WILLIAMSON CO. TN, to some of us at least. For data on Ester being born in May, 1838 see below 1900 Perry Co. TN Census for JAMES B. OAKLEY, son of MANERVA/ MINERVA DIXON/ DAVIDSON, OAKLEY, MALUGIN, daughter of Sarah. James B. Oakley was nephew to Esther and a grandson of Sarah Davidson b. 1801 NC.

( Per Cathy Gallen this is the only census which is 1850 Lewis Co. TN census listing that Elijah Hinson was b. TN as the others listed b. KY. Note that Eveline is age 26 or born about 1824 per this census as well. )
In 1880 Perry Co. TN Census, listing Elijah Hinson and wife Eveline it showed he was b. KY and that Eveline, her mother and father all b. TN. ( other census data on her mother shows that Sarah Davidson b. abt. 1801 NC. However, in the same 1880 Hickman Co. TN Census for Sarah Davidson she listed herself being b. TN. This showed consistancy in this 1880 Census for TN being birthplace of Sarah, ( on both Eveline and Sarah's census data of 1880 ) but I feel this is due more to the fact that ESTHER b. TN and her mother was listed being b. TN as well, and so to keep consistant on this, the mother most list for Esther is SARAH DAVIDSON b. 1801 NC shown on all other census data. This is the only explanation I can see for Sarah having listed herself born in TN on only one census, as Esthers mom was listed b. TN, and as Sarah had been listed b. NC she kept it consistant and listed herself born in TN in that one census of 1880 Hickman Co. TN. Other reasons for this descrepancy in consistancy in census reports is that they had forgotten or the census taker put in the state, however, Sarah is so careful with her information throughout her history that I have to wonder if this was not a deliberate act of listing TN in place of NC where Sarah was actually born, to keep records consistant for ESTHER. Sarah was a midwife and had several children of her own, and most list Esther as a child of Sarah's but Sarah Davidson b. 1801 NC would have been about age 40 when Esther was born, and with only family oral history to support that her mate had left by 1840, it is still a question in my mind, whether Sarah Davidson b. 1801 NC is mother of ESTHER DAVIDSON b. abt. 1840 TN. So far, I am probably the only one to question this however, as most do list Sarah as the mother of Esther. I have kept it consistant but will continue to look at further records to try to clerify if Sarah Davidson is the mother of Esther. - Tina Rogers Beller.

Per the information within this GEDCOM, you will find that ROBERT J. HINSON ( s/o Eveline M. Davidson and Elijah Hinson ) md. Mary G. Keeling ( d/o John Dudley Keeling b. 1831-1832 & wife Mary Ann Roden ). John Dudley Keeling is son of William Keeling who lived in HH 137 near to Elijah Hinson in HH 133. This Keeling family also connects to WILLIAM J. DAVIDSON through marriage of their daughter RHODA KEELING ( d/o William Keeling in HH 137 ). Some list William J.
